Curtain Twitcher
A hyperlocal app for UK towns.
Coming to the App Store and Google PlayThe problem
What's happening in a town is scattered: roadworks in government feeds, notices in council documents, and everything else in busy social-media groups where the facts get lost.
What it does
One place for a town: live roadworks and official notices, street by street, and a space for neighbours to talk. No sign-up needed to read.
How it's built
- Live data from the Department for Transport's Street Manager and from Ordnance Survey, matched to towns and streets with geospatial queries.
- Event-driven services on Kafka, each owning one part of the domain.
- Kubernetes, GitOps and continuous delivery: every change tested and deployed automatically.
- Apps for iOS and Android.
